Margot Ghersin

Executive Director, Wolf Scholars

Margot is thrilled to join the Wolf Scholars Program as its founding Executive Director, and to build Canada’s next generation of thoughtful and driven leaders.

Having experienced first-hand how transformative travel can be during university, Margot is passionate about creating opportunities that empower students to dream big and explore the world. With extensive experience developing impactful educational programs both in Canada and abroad, she has led student teams to coach entrepreneurs in emerging regions across seven countries (Northern Canada, Serbia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Russia, Vietnam, and Nepal), and has coordinated global internships for hundreds of students. Margot is a strong believer in the power of open-mindedness to develop empathy and drive meaningful positive change.

Before joining Wolf Scholars, Margot was a Consultant at Bain & Company, where she led complex strategic projects for clients in the non-profit, utilities, and financial services sectors. She also served as Bain's undergraduate recruiting captain, helping shape the next generation of talent.

A graduate of the Ivey Business School at Western University, Margot was honored to serve as her class Valedictorian. Prior to Ivey, she studied Political Science and Spanish, which underscored her belief in the importance of interdisciplinary learning.

Margot is excited to meet the first generation of Wolf Scholars and support them as they navigate the roller coaster of university life, empowering them to be resilient, healthy, and ready to lead in whatever area they choose.

Justine Turner

Strategic Selections & Enrolment Manager, Wolf Scholars

Justine is a firm believer in the power of youth to thrive when given the right opportunities and is excited to join the Wolf Scholars program, which places youth potential at the heart of its mission.

She brings more than 16 years of program management experience across the non-profit, international development, and newcomer services sectors, with a strong focus on education and youth development programming. At Plan International Canada and War Child Canada, she collaborated with global and local partners, technical experts, and country teams across Asia and Africa to strengthen education systems, promote gender equality and expand access to safe, inclusive learning for children and youth.

At home in Canada, Justine has worked to ensure that newcomers are met with dignity and opportunity—leading programs and services that foster settlement, inclusion, and learning. She holds an MSc in International Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and serves on the Board of Directors for a non-profit childcare center in Toronto.

As the inaugural Strategic Selections and Enrolment Manager, she is excited to help build a thoughtful and inclusive approach to selecting future scholars—one that recognizes potential in all its forms and welcomes diverse paths to leadership.
