What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

I am very proud of the amount of self-discovery I was able to accomplish throughout high school. I put myself out there and opened myself up to new opportunities and experiences, all of which have helped me to better understand myself and the world.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I am looking forward to experiencing firsthand some of the most formative and exciting years of a student's life. I am curious as to how studying at the University of Toronto might affect the trajectories of my life and the lives of the people around me.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

Be confident and be yourself. There’s nobody else, your interviewers, the team, or anyone else wants to meet more.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

I am proud of having led the creation and implementation of my school’s Environmental Sustainability Plan alongside school management. This legacy project will continue to shape my school’s approach to responsible stewardship and community leadership.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I am interested in further exploring ways in which Canada can–and does–thrive, from the development of pragmatic climate policy to tax incentives that keep homegrown innovation in the country. I have no doubt that the interdisciplinary education offered at the University of Toronto, and through Wolf Scholars, will support me as I learn.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

The application process is a valuable chance for reflection; don't worry about the end result. You will find fulfillment and learn something new if you engage in the process wholeheartedly.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

Something I’m extremely proud of is my personal growth. Throughout high school, I consistently pushed myself out of my comfort zone, helping me overcome my fear of failure and build the confidence to lead initiatives I wouldn’t have felt capable of taking on before.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

As I explore diverse fields in more depth in university, I expect my academic interests to develop and change in unexpected ways. So, I’m most curious to see how my long-term goals and interests evolve throughout my undergraduate journey.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

You’ve probably heard this many times before, but my biggest piece of advice is to be genuine. If the Wolf Scholars program truly aligns with your goals and future path, you’ll naturally be able to articulate why you’re a strong fit!

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

I am particularly proud of the incredible teams I have learned from and contributed to throughout high school. From a mock trial team that made school history to winning DECA internationals as part of an all-girl team named “Women in STEM”, these teams taught me the power of collaboration and how differences are not to be feared but to be celebrated.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I have always enjoyed learning about the world from different lenses— using economic models to characterise market behaviour, and understanding how logic gates are relevant to both philosophy and computer engineering! Though looking forward, I am most curious about how this theoretical knowledge can be actualised to build scalable and interdisciplinary solutions for real-world issues.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

Think about your application from both the perspective of your own individual experiences and the Wolf Scholarship program: what makes you unique, and how does your identity fit into the mission and core values of Wolf Scholars? Try to convey this with a level of detail and specificity that gives true insight into who you are!

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

Throughout my high school years, I’m incredibly proud of the steps I’ve taken to empower the people around me. Whether it’s through creating Black Futures to develop the leadership capacity of young Black students in Halton, leading the Black Student Union to foster a culture of equity and inclusion, or simply tutoring students on math to make them feel confident in their own abilities, I love pushing other people to grow and feel empowered.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

As I begin my studies at the University of Toronto, I’m most curious about learning how mathematics can be used as a tool for change, especially how quantitative methods and economic modelling can expose the roots of inequality and inform policies that create lasting change. I’m also deeply curious about learning of other experiences and worldviews in a city as diverse as Toronto, while having discussions that also challenge my perception of the world.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

To anyone that is applying for Wolf Scholarship, do not underestimate yourself! Every future Wolf Scholars applicant is an incredibly unique individual with experiences that only YOU have, whether they’re big or small. Though it’s cliché, truly the piece of advice that carried me through this process, is to be authentically yourself from the application to the interviews, without underestimating who you are and what you have to offer.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

Of all my high school memories, the most meaningful to me was securing a $5,000 grant for the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre through the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative. While the grant financially benefited the charity, for me, it marked the beginning of a lasting relationship that has been deeply fulfilling. I have found a mentor in the charity’s CEO and friends in my fellow youth council members.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

As I begin my undergraduate journey, I’m most excited to explore how society and politics shape the world around us, topics I haven’t yet fully delved into

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

Your application doesn’t have to “make sense” or fit neatly on paper. Talk about the things that make you unique, no matter how scattered those things might be. It should ultimately be a representation of you, and everything that makes you awesome

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

During my co-op, I was able to develop my knowledge in computer science, AI, and machine-learning to design a product that would be given to agricultural communities and emergency services across Canada. Coming from a rural community myself, I am extremely proud of how I've been able to directly improve the lives and conditions of those in these industries.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I am curious about exploring the world of AI, its applications, and the development of how we can use it to improve our lives in the future. Over the next four years, I am certain that many new innovations will emerge, and I'm curious about how they will be implemented across different disciplines.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

My best piece of advice would be highlighting what you're genuinely passionate about and tell your story that way. Take the time to think about what you've done in the past, be proud of the accomplishments you've achieved, and blend them to show the full picture of who you are!

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

Altogether, I am proud of my growth and daringness. Spending my entire grade 11 year in full immersion as an exchange student in Germany forced me to step outside my comfort zone again and again, and made me a person who does not try for lack of fear, but in spite of it.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I’m curious about who I will become. I hope to see myself discover new interests and passions, and expand on the path that I envision for myself today. Challenge myself to try, do, and learn as much as I can.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

From my experience, there is truly nothing that will serve you better in life and this competition than being your genuine true self. No matter where you’re from or where your path has led you, believe in the person you are today and the person you can be tomorrow. Remember that there is no limit to the ideas you can have and the impact you can make.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

The thing I am most proud of from my high school journey was the impact that I was able to leave behind. From organizing our first ski trip to paving the path for our first MUN conference, being able to help my school grow is something that has always fulfilled me. Though it wasn’t just big achievements that made me feel this way, but small actions such as tutoring someone or giving them academic advice contributed just as much. Being able to make someone’s life better every day, regardless of its magnitude, is what made my high school experience one to remember and be proud of.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

What most intrigues me about my upcoming undergraduate journey regards the people that I will meet and what I will be able to learn from them. UofT is an international hub of talent and wisdom filled with experts from every possible field ready to relay their knowledge to future generations. Whether it be biology, business, or politics, the possibilities of things to learn are endless and beyond my scope of imagination, and I can’t wait to unlock them.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

My greatest piece of advice is to know yourself, not just what you have done, but why you did it. Before applying, make sure you analyse yourself and discover what makes your clock tick. Find the depth of your passion and be ready to apply it, not only to your accomplishments but also your aspirations. Every question you answer, be it verbal or written, must tie into who you are as part of one big round circle. Don’t let your actions speak for themselves, because then it's up to others to give it value, not you. Things others take for granted might be the underlying motivation for your hard work, be sure to include this, for no one knows you better than yourself.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

I am very proud of my work on the FHS Humanities Society's course selection campaign, which encouraged younger students to take more classes like Modern History, Political Science, and Philosophy. This fostered more interest in the Humanities within our school and increased the amount of such courses we could offer due to increased popularity!

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

As an undergraduate student at UofT, I'm curious to hear perspectives on complex issues from students and faculty from all over the world—outside of my little Maritime bubble. To be able to learn alongside such accomplished, fascinating people is an honour, and I can't wait to get started!

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

It's not about how many extracurricular you participate in or how impressive you think they look on a resume; to do something truly meaningful, it's best to pursue what really brings you joy. If it's obvious that you've poured your heart and soul into something, the rest will fall into place.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

At the start of high school, I observed students seeking to take on challenges without a collaborative platform to channel their ideas: with the aim of fostering confident public speaking, I built the foundation for the vibrant DECA club I led over the four years. The success of the 40 member club fills me with unbelievable pride, and seeing how well equipped its members are to be risk takers and empower others has been immensely gratifying.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

Bridging together entirely new disciplines to my current interests in science and business. Specifically, hearing from other Wolf Scholars about how their perspectives have shaped how they see the world as global citizens - I look forward to seeing how my views and understandings shift after unparalleled collaboration and international travel.

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

All of your leadership and artistic endeavours can fit in your application - explore how you can weave together multifaceted interests rather than conforming to a set mold for a specific major. The beauty of every stage of the Wolf Scholars application is that you can embrace everything that brings you joy.

What is something you are hugely proud of from your high school years?

I am proud of my involvement and performance at the 2025 Canada Games. From lighting the torch on Parliament Hill to winning all five of my matches on the tennis court, I was so proud to represent my province during the lead-up and the week of play on home soil.

What are you most curious about as you embark on your undergraduate journey?

I look forward to exploring how academic disciplines complement each other. I am studying political science, but am keen to develop perspectives from fields such as philosophy, psychology, and history, too!

What advice do you have for future Wolf Scholar applicants?

Be yourself! Throughout the application process, never steer away from who you are as a person: be confident in what you have achieved, be true to what your goals are, and be proud of what has brought you to this juncture today.
