However, to be eligible, you must apply to U of T before submitting your application to Wolf Scholars. No. Although we say “UofT,” the scholarship applies only to the St. George campus.
We do not specifically evaluate financial need. However, if financial circumstances shaped your story, you are welcome to integrate that into your application.
Yes. Students are allowed to apply to both.
No. We require reference forms, not reference letters. The form includes specific questions and is sent to your references through our application platform once triggered by the applicant.
Yes. Both can be academic as long as the second referee can also speak to your character and involvement beyond the classroom (e.g., extracurriculars).
You are required to submit two references, one of which must be an academic reference. This academic reference should be someone who is currently teaching you or has taught you very recently. Your second reference does not need to be an academic reference and can be someone you have interacted with at any point during high school.
IB scores will be assessed based on the percentage conversion provided by the applicant’s high school on their official transcript.
Yes. Prospective students must apply separately to the University of Toronto's Faculty of Arts & Science to be eligible for the Wolf Scholars Process. You must also submit any required supplemental applications for your chosen college and program by their respective early deadlines. Selected Wolf Scholars will receive a conditional acceptance, pending their acceptance to the University of Toronto in early 2027.
Yes. If you are interested in a range of subjects but are thinking about career security, Wolf Scholars can be a strong fit. Through internships, mentorship, and training in business analytics and essential professional skills, the program equips Scholars to pursue great careers in any industry with confidence.
No. Applications must be completed and submitted by the stated deadline. We encourage applicants to begin their application early to avoid last-minute issues.
All applications are acknowledged by email. We will inform candidates at every stage whether they progress to the next round.
No. You may apply even if you are not nominated by your school. A school nomination can strengthen your application but it does not guarantee advancement.
School nominations add a point of strength to your application. However, they do not guarantee advancement into any round.

Yes. Students taking postsecondary courses while in Grade 12 are still eligible - we welcome students who are “reaching ahead.”
Students are expected to maintain consistent academic standing for the duration of their high school studies. If the University of Toronto withdraws their conditional offer, your Wolf Scholars Program offer will also be withdrawn.
No. Wolf Scholars can only pursue majors in the Faculty of Arts & Science, excluding Rotman Commerce.
You must have a minimum 90% academic average in your last completed year of high school. If you currently attend school outside of Canada, your transcripts will be reviewed using an equivalency framework based on a 90% average.
Yes, you need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident at the time of application to be eligible for the Wolf Scholars Program.
The Wolf Scholars Program is only available to University of Toronto students.
As a Wolf Scholar, you can pursue any major in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto except for Rotman Commerce. Some majors require application in the first year and admission is not guaranteed.
No. Only students who have not yet attended a post-secondary institution can apply to be a Wolf Scholar.
If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident attending a high school abroad, you may apply to this program. If you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you are not eligible for this program, regardless of where you reside.
Yes. Scholars must commit to attending and participating fully in our programming.
The Wolf Scholars Program is designed to help students develop the critical thinking, leadership, and research skills needed to excel in postgraduate studies. Through internships, academic seminars, mentorship, and global learning opportunities, Scholars gain the confidence and experience to apply successfully to top graduate and professional programs around the world.
Wolf Scholars will travel across Canada after their first year, and globally for two weeks in the summers after years 2 and 3 of the Program. The international travel component will be to dynamic regions of global importance critical to the changing world moving forward - example regions include Asia, and the Middle East. Exact destinations will be determined closer to the travel date. All travel will take the maximum safety precautions and will be led by experienced professors, Foundation staff and local leaders
No. Wolf Scholars can join any U of T College.
Wolf Scholars' tuition will be fully covered throughout their four years in the Program. Scholars will also receive an annual stipend of $10,000 to cover additional student expenses. Beyond this, all extracurricular program activities (including Wolf Scholars-related trips and retreats) will be fully paid for by the Wolf Cooper Foundation.
Scholars receive support to secure competitive internships at leading companies, government agencies, and non-profits in Canada. These internships are designed to provide exposure to diverse career paths and build practical skills.
Wolf Scholars participate in seminars, events, and workshops throughout the academic year, typically requiring several hours per month outside of their regular coursework.
