Wolf Scholars: A Full Scholarship for Canadian High School Students

Do you love asking big questions – about history, technology, or the future of our planet? Are you the type of student who sees connections between science and art, and who thrives on solving complex problems? Wolf Scholars at the University of Toronto is a full-ride scholarship for curious and ambitious Canadians – a launchpad that lets you be curious, with confidence.

In Canada, bright students often feel pressure to study paths that feel directly linked to career outcomes, like business or engineering. Inspired by the Rhodes Scholarship and Ivy League schools, Wolf Scholars has a new model for Canada: empowering 16 top students annually to pursue their interests in Arts & Science and be set up for a meaningful career and unmatched university experience.

  • Global experiences: Fully funded international and domestic travel
  • Internship opportunities: Access to Canada’s top organizations in business, technology, politics, and the non-profit sector
  • Mentorship: Guidance from experienced leaders in multiple fields
  • Small-group seminars: Exclusive courses on history, ethics, leadership and problem-solving with world-class professors at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy

Wolf Scholars are chosen for more than academic excellence. The selection committee looks for three key qualities:

  • Curiosity & Intellectual Engagement: You ask big questions, embrace new perspectives, and thrive on rigorous learning.
  • Exceptional Character: You act with humility, honesty, and empathy, uplifting those around you.

There is no single profile of a Wolf Scholar. Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
